The Volvo Penta Christmas Party committee has decided to cancel the Christmas Party 2021 due to the pandemic. Last year as a result of cancelling the Christmas Party, Volvo Penta decided to donate SEK 25 000 to Göteborgs Stadsmission to create a team spirit and positive feeling. We also donated 25 000 SEK to UN World Food Program. Parallel to this, we also encouraged our employees to donate to these organizations and raised $ 1887 and $731 respectively. This year we have decided to donate 25 000 SEK to Göteborgs Stadsmission from Volvo Penta. However we have also decided that the employees of Volvo Penta will raise money to another organization this year. We have selected Operation Smile, an organization that helps thousands more children living with cleft lip and cleft palate to better breathe, eat, speak and live lives of greater value. We believe the work Operation Smile is doing is a great complement to Göteborgs Stadsmission and by focusing on these two organizations we can create awareness of their important work that covers more areas than usually known by most of us.
